I don’t do reunions - high school, undergrad, med school. I don’t need to make superficial conversation with a bunch of people I barely remember. If I want to keep someone in my life, I keep them in my life. Or, maybe it’s just I don’t know how to get rid of them.
I don’t do reunions but I can see why people do. They can make you feel like you haven’t felt in a long time. It’s comfy, it’s familiar, it’s kind of like coming home. You see how people turned out, if they realized their hopes and dreams or if they’ve lost their hopes and dreams. Or maybe you see that they’ve found what we all should find – brand new hopes and dreams.
Io non vado alle rimpatriate, liceo, università, specializzazione. Non mi interessa la conversazione superficiale con tante persone che ricordo a malapena. Se voglio delle persone nella mia vita faccio in modo di tenermele. Oppure, non so come liberarmene.
Io non faccio rimpatriate, ma capisco perché le persone le fanno. Puoi sentirti come non ti sentivi da tanto tempo. E' confortevole, familiare, è come tornare a casa. Vedi come sono diventate le persone, se hanno realizzato le proprie speranze e sogni, o se hanno perduto speranze e sogni. O forse vedi che hanno trovato quello che tutti dovremo trovare, nuove speranze e nuovi sogni.
