1.04 - Le regole dell' intimità

wish there were a rulebook for intimacy. Some kind of guide to tell you when you've crossed the line. It would be nice if you could see it coming, and I don't know how you fit it on a map. You take it where you can get it, and keep it as long as you can. As for rules, maybe there are none. Maybe the rules of intimacy are something we have to define for ourselves."
Intimacy is a four syllable word for: Here is my heart and soul, please grind into hamburger, and enjoy. It's both desired, and feared. Difficult to live with, and impossible to live without. Intimacy also comes attached to the three R's... relatives, romance, and roommates. There are some things you can't escape. And other things you just don't want to know.


Intimità è una parola di quattro sillabe che sta per "ecco il mio cuore e la mia anima, prego ficcali dentro ad un hamburger e buon appetito". Intimità desiderabile e temuta, difficile conviverci e impossibile farne a meno. L'intimità è anche legata alle tre colonne della vita: parenti, romanticismo e compagni di stanza. Ci sono delle cose dalle quali non si sfugge e altre che semplicemente non si vogliono sapere. [..] Vorrei che ci fosse un breviario sull'intimità, una specie di guida che ti spieghi quando si supera il limite. Sarebbe bello poterlo prevedere, ma non saprei come farlo rientrare in uno schema. Spingi fin dove puoi arrivare e resisti finchè puoi. E in merito alle regole, forse non ce ne sono. Forse le regole per l'intimità sono qualcosa che bisogna definire da se.
